With the LSU Tigers taking home the 2007 BCS National Championship trophy after their 38-24 victory over the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Louisiana Superdome, the stage is set as we look towards the 2008 BCS National Championship Game in Miami, Florida at Dolphin Stadium. That game is scheduled for Thursday, January 8, 2009.
Last season's BCS National Title Game was yet another sell-out, record crowd of nearly 80,000 fans as they filled the Louisiana Superdome to the rafters, and with the 2009 BCS Championship Game set to take place on the beach in Miami at Dolphin Stadium, it is expected to be much the same. With capacity at just over 76,000 seats, tickets are sure to be hard to come by once again, as college football's top two teams go head-to-head to decide this year's national champion.
The SEC and Big Ten have been well represented the past two seasons with Ohio State, LSU, and Florida all making appearances. Can the USC Trojans make another undefeated run, or could it possibly be the Oklahoma Sooners making nosie? What about the likes of the Florida State Seminoles, Miami Hurricanes, and Virginia Tech Hokies, or perhaps even the Michigan Wolverines?
